Our charity ‘challenge’ this year will be in aid of Susan's Fund for Brain Cancer Research.
Susan’s Fund has been born out of the loss of the Mother of one of our staff, and the long-term friend of many others, Susan Hebson, who passed away last year from a brain tumour. The real aim of Susan’s Fund is not only to raise money in her memory but also to push for better research and to raise awareness so that people can be better equipped to fight against such illnesses and ultimately avoid losing a loved one.
The charity challenge we have set ourselves this year is to play 5-a-side football on Penrith’s football ground at Frenchfield Park starting at 5:30pm on Friday 3rd June, through to 5:30pm on Saturday 4th, and raise as much money as we can for Susan’s Fund.
We intend to have further events and entertainment on Saturday through the day with bacon and sausage butties available from 9am - 11am, kids entertainment throughout the afternoon with mini football, face painting and lots more, afternoon tea, and then beers, food and music later in the evening once the full time whistle has blown.
We are urging our friends, associates and local people to get involved. Everyone is welcome to participate in the 5-a-side tournament and enter a team or come along individually, even if its just for a drink or to cheer on the event! If you are interested, please call 01768 212968 to speak to Antonia.
Thank you for your support.
