Atkinson Building Contractors are performing ‘beyond compliance’ on all construction sites registered to the scheme with a collective score of 34 points out of a possible 40. This is a significant achievement for the Company and confirms that our construction sites are exceeding all requirements.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme is the national initiative set up by the construction industry to improve its image and monitors and scores the organisation against a Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements in the following areas:- Considerate, Respectful, Environment, Accountable, Safety, Responsible, Appearance and Good Neighbour
The Scheme is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main areas of concern fall into three categories: the general public, the workforce and the environment.
