Extension Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Penrith

Atkinson Building Contractors secured the project following as successful competitive tender. A two story extension sandwiched between two existing buildings on the site, provided the school with additional IT and teacher facility. The works largely involved the extension of the steel frame structure and curtain wall façade.

The proposed end use determined extensive electrical and mechanical installations, including major ventilation/air handling works and sound deadening and absorption requirements.

Access and good working relationship with the school were key to the success of the project, integrating works around the school daily activities.
