Extensive use of reclaimed stone and slate mixed with more modern materials with a traditional style such as u-pvc windows and powder coated aluminum gutters to create an appearance which fits into the surrounding area but with minimal future maintenance.
Internally was all about attention to detail again using natural materials, oak, slate and stone with the centerpiece being a bespoke handmade kitchen.
The building has been super insulated with an air tight envelope, Heating and hot water is supplied by a Biomass wood pellet boiler making significant savings in energy cost whilst have minimal impact on the environment.
John Bousfield has received from the NHBC North West Single Home Commendation Awards 2014, the “Pride In The Job” award. This award is presented only to the UK’s best site managers who will go forward to the Regional Award finals in October 2014.
