The one stop building solution

Refurbishment of Hutton Hall, Penrith into 7 residential properties

Category: Residential

Local history runs thick through the veins of this project, Hutton Hall is a Grade II listed building and defined as a 'particularly important building of more than special interest' by English Heritage. The three elements of the project, Hutton Hall, The Pele Tower and The Cottage were all previously used as bakery offices by Greggs.

Due to its' historic nature, constructed as early as the 14th century, we were given innovative designs and structural recommendations from Manning Elliot. Initially, many features have been retained and meticulous renovation works took place where neccessary; exposed beams, fireplaces, staircases, ornate timber panelling, panelled doors, skirtings and architraves were mostly preserved. We included wood burning stoves, low energy saving lighting and water saving features at the development.

Our Open Day was well attended with a lot of local interest. We regard Hutton Hall as successful, with the seven residential properties sold in record time.
