Electrician

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and qualified Electrician to join our well-established and reputable team in Penrith

The ideal candidate will undertake a variety of electrical tasks across a number of projects throughout Cumbria, such as 1st and 2nd fix tasks, commissioning, and wiring or air source heat pumps.

Position Overview:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes
  • Perform routine inspections
  • Testing and wiring of heating systems and air source heat pumps
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or hazards
  • Completion of daily records

About You:

  • Proven experience as an Electrician or similar role
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety procedures
  • Inspection and Testing C&G 2391 or equivalent qualification is desired, but not essential.

Plumbing & Heating Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and qualified Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our well-established and reputable team.

The ideal candidate will generally work in the Penrith and Keswick area on a variety of domestic, renovation and new build projects, handling installation, maintenance and repair of heating systems, boilers and general plumbing.

We’re especially keen to hear from engineers who can bring strong plumbing skills alongside their gas qualifications, with confidence across both heating and plumbing work.

Position Overview:

  • Install, maintain, and repair domestic heating systems and gas appliances
  • Carry out bathroom installations, including all associated plumbing work
  • Install and commission new heating systems and boilers
  • Diagnose and repair faults on existing systems efficiently
  • Conduct Gas Safety inspections and ensure compliance with current regulations
  • Maintain accurate job records and material usage
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
  • Provide clear and professional communication with customers

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or Plumber
  • Gas Safe registration (essential)
  • Experience with boiler servicing, heating system installations, and bathroom fitting
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Good general plumbing knowledge
  • Full UK driving license (essential)
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Estimator

We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Estimator to join our established and reputable team based in Penrith, Cumbria (flexible/hybrid working may be considered).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for construction projects
  • Analyse and interpret drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and build competitive bids
  • Work to strict tender deadlines while supporting multiple projects
  • Contribute to cost control, value engineering, and commercial administration

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in construction estimating and cost management
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence

Bricklayer

We are seeking an experienced bricklayer to join our team, working on a variety of projects throughout Cumbria. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves a variety of new build site work, domestic extensions and renovations. A commitment to quality workmanship and safety is essential.

Position Overview:

  • Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units according to specifications.
  • Measure and cut materials to ensure precise fitting.
  • Mix mortar and other bonding agents to secure bricks in place.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various masonry tasks.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and roofers on projects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
  • Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced workers as needed.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry is essential.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to masonry work.
  • Experience with stonework is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read specifications and technical drawings accurately.
  • A valid driver's licence is advantageous, but not essential

Joiner

We have an opportunity for a skilled and qualified Joiner to join our team. 

Work will include all 1st and 2nd fix tasks. The successful candidate will work across a range of projects generally in the Penrith and Keswick area, such as (but not limited to):

  • Conversions, renovations, maintenance works, hotel refurbishments
  • Installing roofs, kitchens, flooring etc., in accordance with task targets
  • Completion of daily records such as work certifications and daily diary sheets

The ideal candidate will be experienced, qualified, have a passion for quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

A full, clean driving licence is preferable.

Transport, uniform and PPE will be provided. 

This is a permanent, long-term contract with excellent opportunities in our fast-growing family-owned business.

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 

Pay: £15 - £17 per hour.
