Office Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and detail-orientated Office Administrator to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

• HR Support: Assist with staff recruitment, role changes, control of employee records.
• Training & Development: Maintain training records, arrange external training and oversee apprenticeships.
• Document Control: Assist with developing, updating and controlling company policies, procedures, operating instructions, forms.
• Marketing Support: Update our website, upload prepared social media content, handle branded stationery orders.

The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of MS Outlook and Word, as well as communication skills at all levels. Knowledge of the construction industry would be an advantage, but is not essential. Experience in HR Support or an Administrative role is preferable.

40 hours per week. Based in Penrith.

Pay: £12.50 - £14.50 per hour.

Electrician

Are you an Electrician looking for a rewarding opportunity in the north of Cumbria?

We are looking for a skilled Electrician to undertake a variety of electrical tasks and projects, such as 1st and 2nd fix tasks, testing, commissioning, and wiring of air source heat pumps.

While experience is preferred, training can be provided for the right candidate.

This is a long term contract with excellent opportunities in our fast-growing family-owned business.

We use JIB guide for rates of pay.

Transport, uniform and PPE will be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes
• Perform routine inspections
• Testing and wiring of heating systems and air source heat pumps
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or hazards
• Completion of daily records

Experience:

• Proven experience as an Electrician or similar role
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety procedures
• Inspection and Testing C&G 2391 or equivalent qualification is desired, but not essential.

General Operative

We are looking for a General Operative to join our busy Atkinson Building Contractors team. The ideal candidate will have Telehandler experience and a full driving licence; however, this is not essential.

Work will include, but is not limited to, a wide variety of manual tasks on our current and upcoming schemes such as moving materials, assisting various trades as necessary and helping to keep sites organised, neat and tidy.

We offer excellent rates depending on experience, as well as long term and varied work.

Transport, uniform, & PPE provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.50-£14.50 per hour

Architectural Technician

We are looking for an 'Architectural Technician' to join our busy team!

Role will include working as part of our Development team to produce detailed drawings for upcoming projects and clients.

Experience using AutoCAD or a similar software is preferred but not esential.

Experience within construction is also preferred but not essential.

 

Excellent rates of pay and terms depending on experience.

We are looking for qualified and experienced quality Tradespeople to join our busy team!

Work will include all 1^st and 2^nd fix joinery tasks on renovations, conversions, maintenance works and hotel refurbishments. This will include the installation of roofs, kitchens, flooring etc.

40 hours per week, wage, and package negotiable.
