In association with Londsdale Estates and Churches Together in Penrith, Atkinsons are once again proud to erect the cross at Penrith Beacon as part of this year’s Holy Week, the week between Palm Sunday and Easter.
We built and donated the cross several years ago and are happy to see the continued joy it spreads throughout our local community.
Rev David Sargent on behalf of Churches Together in Penrith said “Churches Together in Penrith are delighted that once again Atkinson Building Contractors Ltd are able to work with Lonsdale Estate to have the Easter Cross visible above the town again this year. It stands as a reminder that violence, and oppression will never have the last word and of the hope that Easter gives to all the world”
