The closure of the Penrith RAFA Club allowed Atkinson Building Contractors the opportunity to convert a large redundant property in Penrith Town Centre into much needed affordable rented apartments.
Having purchased the property, a partnership with Eden Housing Association was formed to deliver the scheme with total of 10 flats were constructed, 9 with 2 bedrooms and 1 with a single bedroom.
Built in a prime location, close to Sainsbury’s Supermarket and Penrith Leisure Centre on the main road in Penrith Town Centre, this project once again contributed positively to the regeneration of this area.
